Nature Lover

Hello, my friends! It’s been a few days. I am busy scanning my life away at the doc’s office. No complaints except I miss my blogging. Today I have another radio lesson to share. You all know I love Jesus and I want to serve Him genuinely and with a clean heart. Yet, I get lazy and sometimes struggle with obedience in the everyday ordinary trials and temptations.

So here’s the story:

I put on Christian radio while I am sitting at my desk at work. There is a really good website called OnePlace.org? I think. Anyways, they list several speakers, preachers, etc at one site where you can pull up their radio shows, or preaching segments. I pulled up a program called Hope for Life. It featured a Baptist preacher out of Colorado.

Here’s what he shared. He stated that we assume the nature of Jesus when we accept Him into our lives and make Him Lord. He taught that Jesus was God but also human. He had temptations and tests like we endure and unlike we will ever endure and yet was obedient to God’s will. If we have His nature and belong to Him, then we have what we need to be obedient to God’s will in everything. Our human nature will struggle against doing right and rebel at times but we have Jesus’ nature and His capability to OBEY.

This may sound simple to you and you might be saying, “Well, yeah, dummy, don’t you get it?” But I had never truly recognized the ability I have within to accomplish and have victory in my trials. If I have victory it’s because I was particularly spiritual that day or I credit it to the prayers of others. If I am down and feeling apathetic, I tend to whine and give up. You know, “Well Lord, I am tired and feel like things will never change so I will give in to my emotions. And by the way Lord, I am sorry.” I bet God could just reach down and shake me by my shoulders and say “Wake Up! You have the power of Jesus in You. You have victory that comes from the cross. You have an intercessor and helper, a comforter!” The Bible says God is faithful and slow to anger. Thank God for his patience.

My temptations and trials are daily and yet vary in severity. I have a new sense of capability. Hopefully if you tire or feel rebellious to doing God’s will whether in your diet, dealing with family, or your job, you will remember that you have Jesus’ very nature in you. He would choose to obey and He would see the situation thru in holiness and with victory! So go for it Girlfriends!

Here’s some scripture:

Numbers 14:18
'The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion….

Nehemiah 9:17
They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

Psalm 103:8
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

HAVE A VICTORIOUS DAY! Love ya.
