UPDATE: My recent colonoscopy and endoscopy didn't provide the information needed to decipher what is causing my anemia. I am now going next Monday to swallow a pill in it with a camera in it. Crazy, huh? I feel fine, just tired. I appreciate your continued prayers.
I was trying to think of what to share today. I have nothing real spiritual but rather a little humorous on the worldly side. Nothing raunchy, promise.
I was talking to my friend a single mom. She was lamenting about stuff and I felt her pain. However, we also got to laughing at some of the funny stuff she has to handle alone. Her son and daughter were riding in the back seat and she heard her son say something about "making out". She was alarmed and asked her son what was "making out". He said, "You know. SIX." Six??? Then she said, "Do you mean SEX?" He said, "Yes." She asked him what he thought sex was. He said,"Kissing and stuff." Hmmm! She needs a good long talk with the 7 year old. It is amazing that kids so young are aware of "such" at a young age. I wished her well. I told her SIX is appropriate for those of us who "Kiss" only Six times a month. Lol!
This same friend and I also got to laughing about my sister, who is my friend's HERO! My sister is a single mom. She is doing well and yet not without the normal struggles of the absence of child support, etc. One visit she was sharing with us how her ex-husband was threatening suicide if she didn't "right away" come to his rescue. She knowing this was one of his antics, told him she was too busy picking up her children from school, etc. The next day he called her. Her infamous words with single moms in our social circle and the reason my friend calls her hero will forever be hailed among moms with deadbeat husbands. It's something they all want to say but don't. My sister answered the phone when her ex-called. He said, "Hello, Maria." She responds, "Well, I see you didn't die, unless you are calling me from HELL." Okay, come on you know that is funny. To my sister's defense, she is in a somewhat amicable space with her ex currently, and it has nothing to do with the fact that they live on opposite ends of the United States. Lol!
Okay, so my post is not real enlightening and encouraging today. Maybe you smiled. Maybe you asked God forgiveness for reading this blog entry. Maybe you are just glad you aren't one of these girls. I am just happy you checked in today.
I hope to catch up with you tomorrow. I do have to work at the dr office all day though. Have a great afternoon, and evening.
