19 Words - Thanks Lisa!

Dear Friends, I am taking Tim for his physical today. We are having a great few days. He and I have had some good conversation and have had several meals together. He is in a prison of sorts but he isn't fighting it. He is a good boy and I see a light in his eyes that assures me he will find his way...God's ways soon. A friend sent me a simple prayer this week. I am putting it into practice.

Just 19 Words

God Our Father
Walk through my house
Take Away all my Worries and Illnesses
Please watch over and heal my family
In Jesus Name, Amen

Ladies, I was thinking of one of my favorite Christmas movies, Christmas in Connecticut (Black and White, Original Version). If you haven't seen it, please give yourself a treat this Christmas and rent it. A lady magazine contributor writes about being a wonderful cook, wife, homemaker and mom living the country life. In reality she is a city dweller, and single. It has wonderful twists and turns as she is forced to go live in the country and play out the role she writes about.

I was thinking this morning that I am a country living mom, cook, wife and homemaker. I love to decorate, entertain, care for my children and home and my life so domestic and sweet. Yet in reality I am raising hellions and my house is filled with boys playing loud music of questionable lyrics, banging on loud drums, strumming whiny guitars, and they are making fun of each other and mom. They eat my food without proper attention to the presentation, color and taste. They are just hungry. My husband is confined to the office, and I clean my home in hopes that the door bell will ring. I could scream! But I don't because my life is filled with big hugs, laughter, and we are together and safe. It will be a wonderful Christmas in Sunnyview!

I am off to wake up the bear for his visit to the doctor. Then I will drag him to the post office, grocery store, and bank. I might feed him lunch. Life is Good! Prayer is Better! God is Best! acf

PS: Cory is doing fine. He seems determined to have joy and fun this Christmas. He is busy cleaning his room. It is looking quite like a studio apartment. It is great having him home.
