Out of the mouths of Babes

Now you are probably thinking sweet little tots, but I am talking about some beautiful people I shared life with yesterday (adults). These people are nice looking, but I am talking about their hearts. Allow me to share...

A woman called me yesterday to share some good news regarding her health. She is under the supervision of a wonderful Christian woman doctor. She shared wonderful information on healthy foods and new ways to cook. A former, high fat, don't tell me what to eat, indulgent woman, now is eating organic foods, eliminating high fat, and drinking "GOATS MILK"...there is a God!!! She proceeded to share her heart re: her biggest obstacle to eating - REBELLION. She shared with me her sincere prayer to the Lord to remove her rebellious attitude(s). She has lost weight and is feeling great. She encouraged me and I love her candid heart. This woman is beautiful. This woman is my MOM!

So last night a friend and I were driving up the damp, foggy mountains to Asheville for SHOES! Don't let a little hazardous weather stop a woman in pursuit of a precious pair of shoes. On the way there I was sharing the conversation I had with my mom. I told her I was rebellious too. I hate doing the right thing when it comes to diet! She turned and looked at me and said, "Now Anna why do you want to go and be rebellious." "Why be rebellious? It's only hurting you." I acknowledged her statements and told her how much I weighed. She proceeded to tell me, "Anna, what are you waiting for...you are not going to be able to walk if you gain more weight!" "And by the way...you need to buy shirts that cover your stomach. It will make you look thinner." This girl is precious to me. I understand her and she me. We are like sisters. Now, you are probably saying "Why? Who needs friends like her?". I DO! She is going to give you truth. Don't ask if you don't want her honest opinion. The way I see it is who needs friends who won't hold you accountable and give it to you straight?....Ok I do at times (most times). However, when I am with this girl...we fight hard, we laugh heartily and love truly...we are real with each other. This makes her beautiful to me. Deanna is who I needed last night. Today I pray for removal of my rebellion, 'cause after all she's already said she ain't dealing with no wheelchair. Lol! PS: The shoe store was CLOSED when we got there, waaah!

Ok, I have shared about my rebellious tendencies. In another area of my life, I am struggling with a desire for a transition (sorry can't share what it is). My inner self is ready to make an impulsive, emotional decision, yet I am dependent on my husband, who is the leader and head of our household. I sent an email to a friend yesterday. I shared my needs, agony and yes, I whined. I knew my friend would respond. She is another friend who will say "Do you really want to hear what I think?", and then she dishes it out. Well, true to form when I got home last evening and checked my email. Her email awaited me. This woman touched my heart and sent me to bed with a warm heart of hope. She was honest, practical and spiritual. She guided me with her Biblical advice. True and plain. She pointed me back to adhering to God's timing and to discuss my concerns with my husband and fall under his leadership. Wow! This beautiful woman will remain nameless.

Last but not least, my lovable, huggable woman friend emailed me last night too. This woman is the most thoughtful woman I know. She sends precious cards and is a giver to a fault. I am humbled by her beautiful heart. Her email was short and to the point. She was asking for prayer - an unspoken request. Guess what ladies? I was brought back to reality. It's not all about me! Someone needs me! I can never keep up with her kindness, but I know how to pray. This girlfriend touched my life last night. She brought me back to what matters. Giving love to others. I went to bed and before my eyes closed, it wasn't about me. I asked the Lord to be with my friend, Rita

I went a little crazy but some quotes on friendship are listed below:
